About Bill Adams
Bill is a self-taught artist who hales from the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. At an early age, he realized his natural talent for art. Instead of pursuing a career in art he elected to pursue a career in business. However, throughout his life Bill has produced many works to raise money for charitable organizations (breast cancer, boy scouts), to display in museums (Norman Rockwell), for commercial entities like Dunkin Donuts and many commissions for private collectors.
Bill's medium of choice is oil on canvass and his style is stepped in hyper-realism. Many of his works have been considered ‘photo’ quality although he occasionally produces impressionist works using a self-styled pallet knife technique. He is heavily influenced by many modern-day artists such as Bill Mack, Thomas Kinkade, James Coleman and especially Thomas Arvid, highly acclaimed for wine and spirit paintings.
As a collector of fine wines, classic cars and sports memorabilia, Bill enjoys producing works related to these subjects. His appreciation for collectables is reflected through his works. He was quoted by the press as saying; "I get great satisfaction out of capturing a still life moment where the subject and surroundings come together to create a unique blend of color and dimension." This says it all about his passion for art.
Living and working out of St Augustine, Florida, Bill sells his works through select galleries, one-man exhibits, and on-line. A 'Certificate of Authenticity' accompanies every original piece guaranteeing that only 10 'Artist Proofs' will be produced to maintain collector value. He welcomes commission of all types.
